Messaging platforms gate access differently, and some of those gates are outside our control. This page says plainly where each channel stands, so nothing surprises you after you have set it up.

Landing pages & forms
Working nowWorks today, with no approval from anyone.
A hosted page with your own form, collecting leads straight into this dashboard. Nothing about it depends on Meta, so it is the fastest way to start capturing leads while the messaging channels are sorted out.
What to do: Create a page under Campaigns → Pages & forms.
Works today.
Each connected inbox gets its own forwarding address. Mail sent there arrives in your inbox here, and replies go out through our sending provider.
What to do: Connect an inbox under Channels → Email.
Works once you connect a number.
WhatsApp Cloud API is configured. Connect a phone number and messages flow both ways. Note that WhatsApp only allows free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message; outside that window you must send an approved template.

Instagram DMs
Waiting on approvalConnects, but will not send or receive yet.
Instagram messaging requires Meta’s App Review before it works for accounts other than ones explicitly added as testers. Our app is live but review is still pending. If you connect an account that is not on the tester list, the connection appears to succeed and then every message silently fails — so please do not rely on it yet.

Facebook Messenger
Waiting on approvalSame Meta approval as Instagram.
Messenger uses the same Meta app as Instagram, so it is waiting on the same App Review. Connecting a Page works; delivery does not, unless the Page is on the tester list.

SMS, Telegram, TikTok

These appear in some parts of the database schema because the data model was designed to accommodate them. No code sends or receives on them, and connecting them is not possible.
What to do: Nothing to do — this is here so the schema does not mislead you.
Why does Instagram need approval?
Meta requires every app that reads or sends Instagram messages to pass App Review before it can be used by accounts the developer does not own. Until that review completes, the API returns credentials that look valid but do not work — which is why a connection can appear to succeed and still deliver nothing. This is a Meta policy that applies to every tool in this category, not something specific to us, and it is the reason landing pages exist as a first-day alternative.
